These Volunteers Are Bringing Plays to Life for the Visually Impaired

 In Uncategorised

Some volunteers are making a big difference for the visually impaired community as they describe what’s happening on stage for an audience who might otherwise not be able to enjoy the show.

Increasingly, audio description is being implemented in older theaters and playhouses with a Stenomask microphone. This allows for the flexibility of the describer to be in the best position to see everything without the significant cost and space requirement of building a sound-booth.
